Mi Casita

I’ve been here for almost 3 months now and I’ve waited till the night before I head back to the USA for a brief trip to take pictures of my house. I can be the queen of procrastination, especially when it comes to taking pictures! Any ways here is a glimpse into where I call home right now. The family I live with owns a convenient store, and the house is attached to the store. Its very convenient to live in a store for many reasons, but mostly for giving directions. In a country where there are no street names or house numbers, directions are given using landmarks. For example, “I live 500 meters south of the soccer field and 100 meters west” is a perfectly good address. Luckily for me I can just say I live in “Pulpería Mi Casita”. I hope you guys enjoyed the tour of "mi casita" (my little house). Pretty soon I will be back to my big house in Alabama for two of my best friends' weddings. I am excited to go home for a brief trip, but I know I will miss things about my home here. I know the time will fly by and I pray that I will be itching to get back to the work God has called me to here in Costa Rica.
